The Challenge
Traditional conference experiences still rely heavily on static timetables, fragmented attendee lists, and awkward networking moments. For Digital Discovery Conference & Expo in Logan, the event needed something more useful than a PDF schedule. Attendees had to be able to discover sessions, connect with relevant people, and adapt to real-time event changes through a product that felt current and easy to use.
Our Solution
We built the Digital Toolkit Conference app as a connected event experience rather than a simple schedule viewer. Flutter gave us one mobile codebase for both platforms, while Supabase handled realtime updates and account flows. The app includes agenda management, attendee profiles, nearby networking discovery, speaker information, messaging, and privacy controls so people can participate in the conference more actively instead of passively reading a timetable.
Outcome
The app successfully supported the Digital Discovery Conference & Expo and improved the quality of event participation. Attendees reported a 40% lift in meaningful networking connections compared with traditional approaches, while organisers benefited from a live event surface that could respond to schedule changes without reprinting or redistributing materials.
